FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a fee?

In addition to covering operational costs, charging a fee helps our members feel engaged and fully invested in this community.

GYF doesn’t want to be a free Facebook group that’s too easy to join and then sits there untouched. People sign up but never show up or connect with anyone. Sound familiar? Yeah, we do NOT want be like that. GYF is different and we pride ourselves on the energy, engagement, and real connections within our community.

That said, accessibility is important to us. If the event fee doesn’t fit your budget, reach out to glowyourfocus@gmail.com. We’d love to find a solution that works for you.

Is GYF only for women?

Our community is women-focused and we welcome all people who are comfortable being in all women-centered spaces.

What type of events do you do?

We’re all about exploring new experiences—chances are, if you name it, we’ve probably tried it!

Our passion lies in wellness, fitness, sports, and the great outdoors—whether it’s workouts, mental well-being, or adventures with friends. Our events are open to all skill levels, keeping things fun, relaxed, and completely free of intimidation. No one should have to do it alone!

What age is this for?

GYF welcomes women of all ages! Our community focuses on members ages 18, but also members ages 62, with most members in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.

We foster intergenerational friendships and believe that building connections with women from diverse backgrounds and ages is truly valuable!

Are the events free?

Most of our events are not free. There are cases where activities require certain equipment (surfboards, skis, paddleboard, rackets, rental, etc.), so this will incur an additional cost, or we leave it up to our participants to bring it.

In addition, studios and hosts we work with occasionally offer our community a reduced price for a class or workshop, often much cheaper than the usual rate.
